WildBride was established in San Francisco in September 2017 by fashionista Samira Araghi and was created because of the owner’s love of fashion and the lack of special, nontraditional wedding gowns. It is the premier boutique bridal salon for the unconventional bride seeking an extraordinary wedding experience. WildBride is a full service, one-stop luxury shop for everything bridal from a private viewing of gorgeous designer gowns in a stylish, comfortable environment along with direct referrals to the hottest and most sought-after photographers, caterers, florists and more.
Samira has extensive management and sales experience. She has worked within the fashion industry all over the globe including London, Los Angeles, Milan, San Francisco and New York. Her passion has always been for evening gowns and bridal gowns in part due to her inspirational career engagements at Vera Wang and Temperly London. These experiences led to the success of her Hayes Valley bridal salon.
To ensure consistent growth Samira knew she needed to have an ever-evolving selection of the latest designer gowns coveted by many fashion and style conscious brides with avant-garde tastes and high expectations. And that meant a cash investment in tradeshows, digital marketing and new showroom inventory.
Samira was referred to SFSBDC when she needed to learn more about access to working capital to support her growing bridal salon and to develop a strategic action plan to obtain funding. She met with an SBDC finance consultant, who also specializes in the fashion industry, to learn about the best loan options and the best type of financing for her particular needs. Samira learned about current interest rates and favorable loan terms to calculate loan payments, formatting content to present her business plan as a financing document emphasizing quantitative analysis and historical financial highlights, operational efficiencies, as well as sales assumptions to correlate with revenue, increases month over month and year over year. She worked with her consultant diligently refining overall financial goals for annual, quarterly and monthly income and expenses, profit margins and cash flow to create the most impactful proformas.
Samira’s commitment to creating an awesome business plan with detailed financial projections plus compiling all required loan package documents resulted in a $50,000 small business loan from a local nonprofit lender. We are very proud of her accomplishment!
